Maybe 'like' is too strong a word. Perhaps 'curious' would be better.
Maybe people are curious about their own farts ('jeez that was bad'.... or..''Mmmm that one is kind a fruity) but are in no way curious about anyone elses, because other peoples smell that much worse....maybe....
