Sorry to hear about the old forum. Here are some archives.
Hello,
I used to post on here a long, long time ago. I got busy with other things, and my interest turned to videos rather than stories. However, I never forgot this place, and after I got interested in programs like KiwiX offline reader and figured out how to use ChatGPT for text processing, I should post what I had. I was sorry to hear about the old /f294/ forum being gone. Luckily, I have some backups.
Here is a gigantic PDF that covers the era up to September 2012. Therefore it's not everything, but everything from when XP started the forum to when I made the PDF. During that era, I had the ability to request a backup from XP or something like that. The result is a 14,650 page document.
I have mediafire premium, so you can directly download this and the other files I include.
Here is the giant PDF:
https://www.mediafire.com/file_premi...%2529.pdf/file
I backed up the contents of the "huge list of stories by author" thread, and you can find the zip archive here, which has 590 saved stories:
https://www.mediafire.com/file_premi...91825.zip/file
At some point I acquired an archive from someone named Lycidian, which has a lot of stories. The original archive was mostly word docs, but since I wanted to make a .ZIM file out of it, I screwed around with ChatGPT to generate some linux shell scripts for text processing. I converted the files to html, used scripts to look for and correct mojibake, fixed stories that had been annoyingly set to center rather than left justified, and a bunch of things. Since I know people would probably want the original version too, here are both:
Lycidian Archive HTML only: https://www.mediafire.com/file_premi...91825.rar/file
Original, word docs only version with some mojibake:
https://www.mediafire.com/file_premi...91825.zip/file
I'm hoping this will help fill in some of the gaps.
I have some more archives, but these are some of the biggest. I did save a LOT of html versions of posts from the Titfighting and Sexfighting Forum back in the day, so get ready for that.
I will continue trying to fix up the Lycidian Archive.
Thank you.
Re: Sorry to hear about the old forum. Here are some archive
thank you so much! it is really great~
Re: Sorry to hear about the old forum. Here are some archive
Happy to help.
Do we know how much is missing? Also, what happened? Someone logged into a hacked account and deleted it?
Re: Sorry to hear about the old forum. Here are some archive
Thank you so much, Jenii. The first PDF is so important and amazing. It's hard to access properly given it's enormity and lack of categorisations.
But, when I searched for the author Dan, I came across a title, I was looking for ages. We just need to search the author/story in that enormous pdf to get around it.
The second file has good categorisations. And, I have posted the Lycidian Archive here before and I'm glad to see that a good number of people like you have saved and now posted that archive.
And then you add, you even have html versions of stuff from back in the day and other archives too. Damn, you are doing an angel's work.
Thank you so much for all your efforts and looking forward to the posts you have mentioned.

As far as I have read, that does seem to be the case but I'm not sure.
Someone hacked into XP's account and deleted the old forum is the story that I have read.

Here's another archive. It's HTML files of the forum from 2004:
https://www.mediafire.com/file_premi..._2004.rar/file
I have much much more than that but I'll have to look for where I saved them.
I saw the thread about the forum owner. I would suggest poking them again about this issue and try to get the data for the old forum back.
Was anything new on the forum backed up before it got deleted?

Here's yet another HTML archive, this one from December 2008:

Thank you very much for your contribution
Re: Sorry to hear about the old forum. Here are some archive
I would suggest the following in terms of rebuilding:
*Make a spreadsheet of stories that are lost. A google doc spreadsheet would be best for it. I can try to help if needed.
*Contact the forum owner and offer them $50 to try and get the data back. That would likely make it happen faster than it would otherwise.
*Have an alternate site to back up all the stories to.
I will also try to deep dive in archive.org if that would be useful.

Here's yet another HTML archive, this one from December 2008:

1) I'm unable to access the 1st link and the 2nd link is encrypted in some sorta way. Please let me know which app/software you are using. I tried using All File Reader and HTML viewer but to no avail.
2) I did manage to get a look at the categories of the 2nd link and it had a good overlap with the Lycidian archive and the link you shared earlier. Though that made me realise for the first time that the forum goes way back than 2002, since the mega link mentions about even older stories. Any idea where we could find those? The sexfight stories from late 90's to early 2000's.
3) Some people did reach out to the admins and they mentioned that the forum shall return but other than that I don't think there's any way of reaching out to the forum owners, that I know of. Though yes, it's been quite some time since that affirmation.
4) Thanks for all you are doing since now we have two decades of sexfight and titfight stories from the old boards/forums.
Re: Sorry to hear about the old forum. Here are some archive
The third link, the HTML-only Lycidian Archive, is a rar file, which is from WinRAR. Here is a .zip file version of it: https://www.mediafire.com/file_premi...91825.zip/file
Nothing is encrypted. It is my intent for these files to be easily accessed by anyone here.
The first link is a PDF which you can open in any PDF reader. It is a large file, but it can be opened. I know it is working since I know others said that they could access it. I can try to encase it in a zip file if that will help.
In regards to software:
Foxit PDF Reader, which is free, opens the large file correctly. For the zip files, I would recommend using 7Zip, which is also free.
In regards to the admins:
I read the thread about it, and there has not been an update in awhile as far as I can see. I would suggest trying to get an update on that. IMO you'll want to get that data sooner than later.

Oh, sorry for the confusion. I meant this link you shared last.
File sharing and storage made simple
(HTML files from 2004 since I'm somehow unable to copy that link text/address)
I'm unable to access/extract it. Though, thanks to your suggestion of 7Zip, I was able to view this 2nd link
https://www.mediafire.com/file_premi..._2008.zip/file
There's an overlap there. I think the very first link you shared with those 14k+ pages has everything.
Also, you are correct. Though most of the stuff that was on that forum has been reposted and I don't really know if there's any way of contacting admins.
