Real Fantasy Names: The Art of Making Magic Feel Real

Hi everyone,

I wanted to start a discussion about real fantasy names—the kind that feel magical but still believable. What do you think makes a fantasy name sound authentic instead of forced or overly complex?

Do you prefer names inspired by mythology, old languages, or nature? If you have favorite examples or tips for creating strong fantasy names for stories, games, or roleplay, please share them here.

I’m really interested in learning how others approach naming in fantasy worldbuilding.

Thanks in advance
