I'm new here. But I thought I'd ask all of you AG experts on any suggestions to remove ink from my DD's Josefina doll. The doll used to belong to my oldest DD. About 3 years ago, my youngest DD got ahold of a pen and made a small "X" on Josefina's chin. My oldest had a fit and said she didn't want the doll anymore. So I put it up in the closet on a shelf. A couple months ago, I pulled Josefina down and gave her to my youngest who LOVES her, takes her everywhere she goes. It's great to see Josefina so loved. The ink doesn't really phase my youngest DD at all. But I'd like to try to surprise her and remove the ink from Josefina's chin. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have heard of using clearasil, or a Mr. Clean Eraser to remove marks from vinyl. Be gentle and don't get it on the eyes or cloth body!

If a light scrubbing with baking soda doesn't remove it, try dabbing on a little Oxy10 lotion, and leaving the doll under a desk lamp (about 60 watts, 3 to 4" away from doll) for a few hours. Wipe off lotion with a damp cloth--if the ink isn't gone, repeat. Good luck!

Oxy 10 does work but it can take multiple applications. Don't get frustrated (like I do) just keep at it until it goes away.

Yes, we used Oxy 10 on my DD's Kirsten doll who mysteriously got a purple pen mark on her face after several preschool-aged cousins visited during DD's First Communion. It took about 6-7 overnight applications, but one morning it was miraculously gone and didn't look as if it had ever been there!
BTW, I got the recommendation for Oxy 10 straight from the hospital check-in people at AGNY. Good luck!

This post came at the right time. Samantha "mistakenly" received some small, light pen marks near her cheek. Magic eraser lightened it up some, but it's still there. I'll buy Oxy 10 tomorrow. Thanks!

I will have to get some Oxy10, a few years ago my little brother was mad at me for something and gave Reita a 'tattoo' on her arm [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img] [img]confused.gif[/img]
