Hi Chipper, Your stove looks great ! I din't know Chambers color coordinated the knobs, how nice ! I bought the same model and it willbe delivered on the 29th...so excited ! Enjoy your Chambers Range !
OK, gold knobs. Thanks, Gwen. Now I can start looking for a replacement timer dial.
Thanks ha_asfan! You're lucky - it sounds like you'll be able to use yours right away. My house has no current set up for gas at all, so I think I've got my work cut out for me. So on top of the work the stove needs, I got a bunch of stuff to do with my house. Did you get your kitchen repainted yet? Your stove is getting the royal welcome.

I WISH the painting was finished, the process has not even begun yet. I'll start washing the walls and ceiling tomorrow, then patching and priming, removing all the cabinet door and hinges...i figure it will take me three days to get all of the prep work done. I selected my colors: a lightish blue ceiling, slightly darker blue walls, all cabinet frames will be super brilliant high gloss white, some medium [butter color] yellow on a glass and wood divider and cabinet doors will probably be the wall color. I'm a total crazy person when it comes to a proper paint job so the bulkof the time will be spent prepping and using a LOT of blue painters tape. The stove you purchased really tempted me...the yellow is wonderful. If it had been closer to detroit, I think I would have gone for it. As I hunt for Chambers bits and pieces in this area, I'll look for you too and will be happy to pass on whatever I find. The plan for my stove is to move it in and the Chambers mechanic will immediately begin to work on it. Todd's list of what should be done will be followed to a T. By the time Christmas rolls around and I go the in-laws for dinner, hopefully I'll have mastered a Chambers dish or two. Now, the hunt is on for the Thermobaker, refrigerator, an appropriate vintage scale, clock, toaster and ofcourse, more cooks tools. The ultimate goal is to have a Twilight Zone 1950 kitchen !
That sounds like it will be gorgeous! My poor stove will be jealous. It's just going to have to find a way to fit in with the kitchen I'm in already. Technically, I don't own the house I'm in, so a remodel isn't in the future unless I buy this or another house.
Oh well, Miss Daisy will just put all the modern appliances to shame!
Where can I find Todd's "to Do" list that you mentioned?

Hi Chipper;
Definitely check all those far off dark corners with a flash light. I found a couple of pieces for my stove that I thought were lost.

What color knobs tend to come on yellow 60Cs? Turea mentioned seeing silver, red, and gold on various stoves.
My stove auction # is 6225919480. Would anyone mind checking it out and letting me know what color they are? I don't know if I'd really classify them as either red or gold. They kind of look coppery/orange to me.
I imagine it'll be obvious when I get the stove in front of me, but I'd love to get the ball rolling and call Virginia's favorite stoves guys, and then maybe pick up a dial when I'm down on Long Island getting the stove. I'm just not sure what color I'm looking for.
My husband thinks they're gold.
