That's the funny thing, Sluggo. No matter how much I adjust the clock, it manages to get itself 10 minutes fast.

I'd go out & buy a new clock.
If she were to buy a new clock, The Big Sexy suggests buying it in Butler or Warren Counties, where the populace is staunchly Republican and does't take nicely to disorder.
Buying at Target is part of the problem. Minneapolis (where Target is headquartered) tends to be a bit on the liberal side, and they are more likely to bend simple truths, like time.
Family Dollar might be a good place, as they are headquartered in the South. Home Depot is based in Atlanta, and Lowe's in North Carolina, both areas suitable for the most discerning conservative's taste; however, Atlanta does have some liberal leanings.
The Big Sexy suggests you stay away from Indiana-based companies, despite that state's ultra-conservative tendencies. Indiana has spent the last 100 years arguing over time, so it may behoove you to avoid HH Gregg, if in fact they sell time instruments.

Here in the home office we have battery operated wall clock. It wasn't expensive; probably $12 or so at Target 7 years ago.
It consistently runs 10 minutes fast.
Sunday AM I reset the clock to EDT, and now, here it is Tuesday. The computer clocks indicate that it is 12:03. The wall clock tells me it's 12:13.
It doesn't keep getting more and more ahead on time. It's just that 10 minutes.
It's one of two things.
Either it once belonged to a bar and is still set on "bar time" [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img]
Or it is possessed by the spirit of someone whoi liked to leave work ten minutes early everyday [img]eek.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]
Either way, you should use it for just that, leaving work ten minutes early everyday. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

The clock is defective because it was manufactured by a Democrat.
You can pick up a clock anywhere, but unless you have a time clock where you punch in I'd use it to my advantage and leave ten minutes early. Set your watch to it too [img]wink.gif[/img]
The problem with the clock is not political, mechanical nor is it metaphysical. The problem with the clock is electrical. It?s those damn AA batteries made by the Chinese.
