The London based SONIC BOOM BOYS will reform for this very special night since their last gig in March 2002. The band will play with 3 different line-ups featuring their start members in 1997 Graham, Cosmic and Jet, then the band's debut album "Generation 3" time in 1999 with Luca and Jet, to their last UK tour members for the support of Toilet Boys from New York in 2002 with Sasu from No Direction, Aku and Jet. With the guest musicians include the punk legend Charlie Harper from UK Subs and Danny McCormack from The Yo-Yo's/The Wildhearts. The venue was the last London gig that the band played, expect to hear their classic tunes "Cheap and Nasty Rock n' Roll", "You Ain't No Star" and "Hand On Heard".
This will also be a night for another great reunion gig from the London based Finnish rockers NO DIRECTION. They were definitely one of the best up and coming bands on the scene at the time. Probably many people have been wishing to see their Social Distortion style punk rock 'n' roll over the years since their split. Their acclaimed single "Skip Tomorrow" and album " The Story Behind The Headlines" are still fresh to be remembered.
MALLORY KNOX formed in 2003 as a three piece, after the addition of a lead guitarist and spending in a rehearsal studios for a year, they finally hit the London circuit and have been gigging since the summer in 2004. Now with a new bass player, the band is as solid as ever.
"It kinda sounds like PJ Harvey meets The Cramps with a little L7 thrown in for good measure." (Alex Bonneywell- Leechwoman) www.leechwoman.com
As this is a charity gig, the profits will be sent to Thailand to aid the people who have been affected by the Tsunami that Geoff had survived and spent time to save many lives for 8 months. There will be a photo section of Geoff. If any of you would like to share your photos that you have of him, with or without you, please bring them on the night. Also if you would like to bring any photos of him for his family, it would be greatly appreciated. There will also be a book for people to sign.
