Weckl - 'Why Not?'

Louie and Lee told me they didn't know this early Michel Camilo tune called 'Why Not' with Weckl playing, so as it's an 8 minute masterpiece of music and drumming, I thought I'd post it up from them and anyone else that doesn't know it.

Possibly one of the best tune ever featuring D.W.
I just love the whole album which is my second favourite Camilo's album right after "one more once" and the awesome horn section of hell.
If you love Camilo's work,there was a dvd on DaD a few months ago that's just awesome.Cliff Almond rips that tune tho' he's playing in a very Weckl-ish way.And he's like 20 years old at the time it was recorded on german t.v. [img]eek.gif[/img]

That's a cool version, but i still prefer Camilo's big band version on One More Once. This is Cliff Almond on drums...

Not to hijack the thread or anything but I'm glad you guys dig the quote. I'm my own worst critic and remember the first time I saw that quote. It gave me a lot of hope and encouragement.
