Progress is slow but then I'll not be satisfied unless it's right. When we bought her earlier this month we had hopes that she'd cook our Christmas dinner. Oh well.... She'll make it up.
Grease can be a great preserative even if it is baked on! Someone made the the comment of it being like cosmoline and I couldn't agree more.

It sort of makes me queazy seeing all these greasy parts because I know that's what's lurking in the hidden crevices of my stove. But, not queazy enough to tackle disassembly!

Yeah good photos, I looked through them today. Looks very familiar in there.
After seeing what's inside an old stove like this, I'm really glad I decided to completely disassemble "Mrs. Adams" and do a thorough restoration.
I can only imagine what 56 year old baked on grease mixed with dust and mouse droppings smells like when heated in the confines of a small kitchen. Actually I can't imagine it since I have no sense of smell. But my wife would certainly let me know!
