We saw King Kong yesterday...

who here has seen it and what did you think? we really liked it but i had no clue it was 3 hours long... but it was still good [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

I'm really torn.....

... I LOOOOOOVE the first King Kong movie... I didn't hate the remake (even though it was pretty shitty) just because it was Kong.

This one looks amazing.... but me and my poor A.D.D. riddled attention span are a bit nervous about another 3 hour Peter Jackson flick.

I saw each of the LotR movies in the theatre... and have watched each of them once on DVD (on completely separate days and sittings). At least the DVD I was able to take intermissions. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Honestly, I could live the rest of my life without ever seeing them again. 10 hours of orcs, mud, ogres, mud, hobbits and more mud. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I love Kong and am fearful that it will be mud, girl screams, mud, bugs, mud, kong, mud, skycrapers, thud. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I did see "Shawn of the Dead" this weekend and enjoyed that though. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

my fiance has ADD but he does quite well at movies... now sitting around the house watching movies... he gets a little anxious [img]wink.gif[/img]

I highly recommend it. I am a huge fan of the original and this does nothing but justice to it and in fact fleshes out things and improves upon the original. The only other remake I can think of that improves upon the original like this is JC's The Thing. It is in no way boring or anything. If you don't get agita watching the Dino version from 76 you must have a strong constitution.

I am like Mega, will wait for the DVD. I liked both the original and the 70's version....good ol' days of special effects

I fear for the wellbeing of my ass sitting in the theater that long.

Probably lower-back, too.

Because it'll be elbow-to-elbow for Kong, even around here, and you won't be able to make the slightest movement. At all.
