Well, I tracked this AG gift on UPS again like I did that Samantha I had sent to my Girl Scout friend.
The Addy package from AG arrived at DS house is Southfield, MI today at 2:30 EST. UPS noted on the tracking that the package was left at the front door. I panicked thinking it was left out in the open. I knew the package was large, as I send her Addy and several other items from her collection.
To make a long story short, her DH had arrived home and took the package in. I did call DS on her cell. She was on her way to a hair appt. I asked how far she was from home and told her that she needed to stop by home before going to her hair appt.
She did, called me back, and was in a speechless state of shock. That is the first time I have heard anyone call me by my full name since my DM departed this life in February 2002. Geesh! It sures feels great and is a pleasure giving unexpected AG gifts!

You are such a sweet, generous sister! I didn't know that UPS leaves packages at the door. I thought you had to sign for them. I just tracked a package that I mailed to a fellow board member and her package was left at her door, too. That's scary. Now I'm worried to death that someone is going to steal it off her front step!

Why is it so much more fun to give than to receive???

DS--Dear Sister?? This was her childhood Addy? Maybe I missed an earlier post, but I want details!!
You are the queen of the dolly love.

AWWWWW!!! What a nice sister! That would have probably been priceless to see the look on her face when she opened the gift!
So, is that her first Ag doll? Oh boy.... sounds like we may have another "collector" in training!!!

How fun! I may have told you before that I helped Santa bring my Sister Addy last year for Christmas. I was more excited about that than DD's Christmas. My sister had Addy dressed in her Christmas dress under our mom's tree Christmas Eve. There were a couple of thingd for Addy under the Tree so it was a good thing. I'm sure your sister will really enjoy her. Will she keep the name Addy or change it? Your girls all have great names.

That's awesome! Glad she liked it! Now you just have to get her started and get her posting on the board!

Oh my...well thank you for your comments. I just could not see getting Jess at this time when I had 19 dolls and she had none and wanted an Addy so bad!!!!!.
Here is the thread from 12-26 about my decision:
"How many of you are waiting to order Jess?"......
DS liked the historical collections and her Addy will stay Addy. I do think she is a potential AG Addy goner. I am not pushing. It is just nice to have a sibling that does not think I am in my second childhood. HA!

How exciting for her, and how giving of you!! I wonder if she ever made that hair appointment. In all the bustle of excitement, if I were her I probably would have forgotten.
Are we going to have a new Hostboard member in your DS?

Southfield? That's just a hop, skip & a jump from me! Sis & Addy will have to join Laura, the girls (human & dollie) and I on our next Greenfield Village adventure. It would a pleasure to have her with us, almost as good has having Sheila-The-Great herself!
