were you denied food as a child?
An interesting question.
My parents are all about eating healthy. My mom used to make tacos for dinner and occasionally broiled hot dogs. But that was WAY back in the day. She is a great cook, but hardly ever makes any red meat. It's either turkey, chicken, or fish. I thank God and G0D for all of her Thanksgiving dinners. She makes rice and baked potatos and collard green a LOT. Ever since I moved away from home, they have purchased practically no junk food whatsoever. My father is always pointing out the ingredients and fat content of shit she buys. When I went over to their house the other night and my mom fired up a DiGiorno's pizza, my old man was reading the fat content. He always says, "DamnTheCowboys, you need to cut back on them french fries." Rack him for looking out for me. I was never the kid who got Doritoes or Hostess cupcakes in my lunchbox at school. Instead of stopping at MacD's on family vacations, my parents opted for cafeterias.
so was it your parents' freakish food obsession that led to yours? i can't seem to remember you starting a thread that didn't pertain to either food or beverage.
that's what i'm trying to figure out.
Deprivation of fast food never hurt me.

So does fast/junk food deprivation as a youngster, lead to an obsession as an adult?
