*EDIT*!!
Hi all,
I'm just updating this post to say that my WB Sam finally arrived. She looks good except for a few things...
To people who already own a PM WB Samantha...I'm staring at her wig cap and something looks odd. It looks as though the very top part of her hair has been "sewn" or gathered into a "permanent" ponytail, and this part of her hair is actually shorter than the rest of her hair, as though it has been cut. Is this a normal look for WB Sams??? The seller said that Sam's hair has not been cut, but I am not so sure.
Also...on the auction Q&A, the seller specifically said that this Sam had no missing eyelashes. But as I checked her over, I could see that she definitely has lost some eyelashes. The seller has been honest about everything else with this doll and she has good eBay feedback, so I don't know if I should complain about the missing eyelashes. I just find it very hard to believe that she could have overlooked this and I can't help but feel disappointed because I thought she would have told me everything I needed to know. Then again, I know it is risky buying from eBay...
Thanks! Any comments/advice would be very appreciated!!!

Hi everyone,
I was hoping you all could help me pass the time!! My wonderful boyfriend agreed to buy me a PM WB Samantha for my birthday this year, so in a joint bid on eBay, we managed to win her last week! (Never mind that my birthday is in September! I know, I'm so impatient.)
But now I'm just playing the waiting game. Our kind eBay seller (who lives across the country) mailed Sam last Friday through USPS Priority Mail, and I'm on pins and needles because I'm hoping that Samantha will arrive today (Monday). I hate waiting! And I'm sure a lot of you out there also hate waiting for your AG packages...what do you do to make the time go by?
Anyway, I wanted to post a few of the seller's original pictures of Samantha so you guys will have an idea of what she looks like. I think she's a cute little girl.

The pics work fine!

She's a pretty Sam.
I'm waiting for the '98 play outfit to arrive. I hope it arrives soon since I'm only here until Saturday. But I have finals to study for and take, so that helps keep it off my mind a little. It's almost always hard for me to wait for a package.

She's absolutely gorgeous! Congrats

Yes, this is normal for Samantha, who has rather unique hair--at the top of the shorter layer is where her original hairbow would have been tied. And, with both layers nicely curled, it makes for a lovely Victorian-style mass of curls in back--very pretty!

Yep- my WB Sam is like this too. There are a couple sections at the top that curl downward like bangs, but stick out to the sides more. It works when gathered into a high half-ponytail. Otherwise I just smooth those sections down a bit into her bangs. I've had two WB Sams in my life and both have been like this.
As for the eyelashes, if it's a couple eyelashes in the corner, the seller may not have noticed. One of my Sams was minty except she was missing a few eyelashes from the corner of one eye. It wasn't very noticeable- I think they just never centered the eyelashes quite right in the slit of the eye at the factory.

Her bangs do appear to be cut just a little bit. She's a beautiful doll! Congratulations!

Hey everyone,
Thanks so much for your helpful and positive replies! I am glad to know that my WB Sam's "ponytail" is indeed normal.
horsemom - Actually, Sam is missing a couple of eyelashes from the middle of her left eye. It is not so noticeable if she is in the upright position, but it is quite obvious if you're looking at her while she is lying down.
AGMom2 - It DOES seem like Samantha's bangs have been cut in the photo links I posted. However, I inspected her bangs several times (in real life) and I don't think her bangs have been cut at all. It just appears cut in the photos--it is probably a trick from the lighting and the shadows.
I am going to go wash Sam up because she's a bit on the dusty side. Otherwise, she's a lovely little girl, just like my Molly.
Once again, thanks to everyone!!
