FLAC ON MAC OS X

Sorry, I think I asked that before, but I can't find the pst... how can I listen to Flac on Mac Os X ? Can I burn CDs of that to listen to it in my car?

If you have Roxio Toast Titianium 7 you can burn without converting from flac to another format. Otherwise, I have used a program called xACT. I'm not sure where I downloaded it but it's free and you can convert from flac to AIFF or WAV and vice versa. You should be able to locate it using google. Good Luck!

Not a problem, look here http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html you have the flac tool for PC and Mac

This tool is to decompress the .flac to .wav so you can burn it as Audio CD, for listen in you Mac i guess it's just like for PC: find the Winamp plugin for that

That's exactly what I said to Danny on the phone when I got it!
My laptop was going bluescreen the entire time last week while at NAMM< could not get anything done with it and it was only a year old.
So, after much consideration decided to make the jump to MAC for my video/audio mobile rig. I love it, the 17" screen is the bomb.

Using my M-Audio firewire 410 for mobile audio, but when more channels are needed I use the Helix firewire 24 board from Phonic.

I'm really surprise to see that you wasn't already using some Mac stuff, you do so much studio stuff, I can't imagine peolple in the USA using some PC for doing some music...

The guys I work with all use Sonar actually. (plus, as long as you can import/export WAVE files, it does not really matter WHAT program you use to get the final product)
There are quite a few people in the industry using it aswell, but the BIG guys at Digi do more promoting to tell you otherwise. [img]wink.gif[/img]
Mind you, I also use and demo for Sony all of their audio programs such as Vegas and Soundforge. Love DVD Architect.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thats one of the reasons i'm not already using a mac. Apparently you can run all PC on a mac using emulators, but it drains CPU, so it would be a bit stupid to put Sonar on a mac with decent spec that you've paid for, lol. If only the people at Twelve Tone put out a version for Mac, it would all be a bit simpler.
