Well, I just finished reading the Spring Catalog from 1996. Yes, reading, not looking through. I was so excited to see "an old friend" so much of my childhood was spent reading these things. I loved them.
So I decided to take pictures of it, spread by spread, so those of you who have never seen a PC catalog could see what the rest of us were talking about!
The pictures aren't real close, because it is imagestation, but AHHH... what a catalog.
On a side note, the Complete Collections are Molly/Kirsten $895, and Sam/Felicity/Addy $995- what a deal! And suprisingly, prices haven't changed that much. The biggest change is the difference in the number of outfits available for the today girls- you will be shocked. Not suprising is that they discontinued the dress like me historical outfits. I remember them being expensive, but more than a few were almost a hundred dollars! For a play dress. WOW.
So, sit back, flip some virtual pages and enjoy Pleasant Company.

The first AG Catalogue I ever got was the Holiday 1998 Catalogue, and man did I love that catalogue! I spent hours looking through it! I wish AG still had the Catalogues set up with each girl have their seperate pages, instead of having all the outfit jumbled together on the same page.

Skittl,
Would you mind giving up one of these catalogs?
They are so gorgeous. I really want one!
If not it's totally fine.
Thanks for the album!

So sweet!!! What a wonderful catalog!!! I wish I had saved mine. Nicole and Cassie's art teacher has tons of AG catalogs, including these old ones and she lets the kids cut out pictures and make collages. Nicole and Cass have come home with Many AG collages with these old pictures. When you walk through the halls in their school you see lots of AG pictures alot of times on the kids artworks. When Cass would bring her dolls to school, the art teacher always has to stop and say Hi to the dolls and hug them. It is so cute!!!

I am planning on selling them sooner or later- but for now, I left all but one at my parents house- so I only have 3. (And of the many I must have recieved over the years, I only have about 10 saved from the 90s)
It's one of those things I kind of want to keep, but would sell if the price is right. PM me if you want to make an offer. I have this one and two others from Spring 1996- those also have the historical society club in them. (Molly is on the cover of one in her camp uniform)

Priceless. That's the first time i've ever seen an old catalog. And that makes me miss pleasant company! *sniff sniff*
*gets all teary-eyed*

I would love an old catalogue too if anyone is willing to part with one. I never thought about saving them when I was younger. I'd be willing to pay for pre-mattel catalogue.

Aw, thanks for bringing up old memories of dreaming! I loved to read through the P.C. catalogues. I still have one from Fall 1996 that introduces the scenes and settings, and I treasure it. I just wish I had kept a few more!
