I know we have a "classifieds" on the Chambers Virtual Convention site, but figured that more of us see this discussion board on a day-to-day basis.
I've got a white 1950s 90C, which has dings in the porcelain in two places -- the storage compartment door has a large one right by the handle, and one corner of the tall backsplash. Of the two, I'm more concerned w/ placing the door first.
I think it'd be more cost-effective to buy a replacement compartment door and backsplash from one of y'all if anyone has one available, than it would be to ship the ones I have off and have them redone.
So, I wanted to raise my (freak?) flag and announce to y'all that I'm on the hunt for these parts if the price is right.
I'm thinking I might actually see if I can find the local junkyards and see if any parts are available there. I doubt it, but who knows?
With the weather showing signs of getting warmer, I'm anticipating getting to the garage in the next month or so and starting to take 'er apart.

definitely a good idea, and thanks for your good use of the pictures once again. I'll be looking into that route if the other stuff doesn't pan out. Really, the exterior stuff, aside from basic cleaning, isn't a priority. I want to strip this baby down to the innards, get rid of rust and dirt and grime, ensure all the connections are good, and probably take my cue from you and Stoveman and install a safety system.
The external stuff, just like acquiring T-well pots, is just something I want to keep my eye out for.

Grace parts out stoves, and is the same person that just sold the nice backsplash on ebay a week or so back. She charges very reasonable prices and is good to deal with. At this point, at least three board members have gotten parts from her, without going through ebay. (myself, Ha-asfan, and Phoebe) Tell her how you got her name, and see if she can help you out.
