first up:
Motley Crue opening for Guns N Roses in Dublin, Ireland. i am totally shocked that Nikki 'big head' Sixx would open for Axl.
second:
Hanoi Rocks opening for Twisted Sister on their UK tour. 2 things on this, i'm surprised, with Mike's ego, that Hanoi would open for Twisted Sister. I hope this is a sign of things to come and that Mike realizes that yes he is the singer for the legondary Hanoi Rocks but that doesn't mean people are going to automaticly show up at a show. There are plans for a North American tour later in 2006, i only hope that they don't think they will fill places by themselves.
AND, with the whole Twisted/Hanoi street fight from back in the day, it's an interesting combo. i wonder if they will use that to promote the shows somehow.

Jun. 06 - Manchester, UK @ Academy
Jun. 07 - Wolverhampton, UK @ Civic

Hanoi could easily headline over here. They filled the Electric Ballroom last year, which Skid Row also packed a few months later. Could get around a thousand in there, I guess.
Looking at those UK venues, I'm sure a TS/Hanoi show is gonna fill most of them.
-
granted, i guess i was looking at it in more of a North American dates thing. i'm sure in the big markets like NYC/Philly/LA maybe Boston/Chicago and maybe a few more Hanoi will sell out but when they play, or if they place places like NoWhereVille Iowa i don't think people are going to really care.

Yeah, I hear ya Bill. Due to the unfortunate circumstances Hanoi didn't get to crack the US market.
June is looking gridlocked for tours. The Bon Jovi gigs, Download Festival, Isle Of Wight festival, Monsters Of Rock at Milton Keynes. The weekend of June 10-11 seems very popular (British F1 Grand Prix too!)

It seems that no-one in the Motley Crue camp knows anything about the Guns gig in Dublin. I was gonna get my tix and book flights, accomodation etc at the weekend but I think i'll hang on for a bit first now. Only wanted to see the Crue again, not bothered about Axl's Appetite.

Wouldn't it be fun if Vince wore this shirt;

Mind you, it probably wouldn't cover his nipples these days, lol!

The promoters have now confirmed/admitted that Motley Crue are not playing at the Guns n Roses gig. That's saves me a shit load of cash then!
