I bought some 12 month size baby clothes for my AG doll assuming at the store they would fit. HUGE mistake!! The shirt could have been a dress- if it didn't hang down so low!! I'm going to have to return them, but at less I still have the receipt and all the tags attached. Has any one every tried this or think it could some how work? Most of the clothing smaller than that was too baby-ish, and the toy section really has nothing. But I only checked Walmart and Target.

AGs can only wear Preemie clothes, and even then only the smallest preemie clothes. 12 months is huge, it's meant to fit a 20 lb, 1 year old.

I bet if you got the smallest size t-shirt and took it in on the sides it would make a good night shirt

Most newborns are about 19 inches long (give or take a few inches), so you'd have to go with preemie stuff or newborn stuff (at the biggest).

But the good news is that AGs can fit into some of Bitty Baby's clothes...and look really adorable!

Can you find cute Preemie clothes that don't look too baby-ish, at a good price? I might be asking too much here.

I've bought some preemie stuff for my 18" baby dolls
but i don't think i've ever seen anything that doesn't look like infant clothes. I had a green velvet preemie dress that i tried on Molly for Yule but it didn't fit right. If i want cheap clothes for my girl dolls i usually look in Target or Walmart. Some of the Our Generation or Tolly stuff isn't bad and it's around 10.00.

I have found that Bitty is too small for baby clothes but I have some bigger babies that fit baby clothes really well and it is great when I find really nice stuff at yard sales....last year I found these lovely hand made gowns out of white flannel and were embroidered and trimmed in the tiniest lace....I bought all of them.....
