I hope its ok to post about this. I was really uncomfortable with the starting bids I had on my 2 heirloom dresses on ebay. My husband talked me into it. After 24 hours of no bids and only 1 watcher I couldn't take it anymore! I had to lower my starting bids. I mean they are just doll clothes after all! So if anyone was suffering sticker shock I have rolled back the prices! LOL!

Ooh, I love Molly's dress! I'd totally try to bid on it, but since my mom just ordered me some AG stuff and one thing on ebay, I cannot ask her for another thing. (Besides, I need prom shoes!) I hope someone on here buys it, though, because it's so adorable!
Thank you SO much! That is so nice of you to say! I hope an HB member gets it too, cuz I know it will be appreciated, and also I might get to see it on their doll someday!

So, as a seller, you are notified when your items are placed on somebody's watch list? I never knew that! Is the watch list identified my the watcher's eBay name? I put things on my watch list all the time, and didn't know that was "monitored!"
We just get told someone i watching it - Not who
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">When I first started selling on e-Bay, there was no watch list feature. The watchers are not identified by name. Since most bids come at the end of an auction, at least it gives the sellers some hope while waiting for bids.Quote:

Good luck with your auctions, Anniebeez. Your dresses are pretty.
Thank you Judiaci! I love the watch feature, it really does give me hope and helps me gauge what kind of enthusiasm my auctions are being met with.

I never add anything to my watch list. I bookmark it and watch it manually. I never want anyone, even the seller, to know that I am watching the item. I am paranoid and I guess I feel like if anyone knows how badly I want and item, someone else will win it for sure! lol. I bet you have a lot of silent watchers too.
This is slightly off topic, but Anniebeez, when I click on your albums link, in your siggy, it takes me to my own albums instead!
Best of luck with your auctions! Your dresses are very pretty.

Wow! I had no idea the seller could tell that people were "watching". I put things on my watch list all the time that I have absolutely no intention of purchasing. I just find some auctions interesting and like to see what happens. Gosh I hope sellers don't take these "watching" lists too seriously!
