Hi, can anyone tell me about the American Girl of today story books that you can write in? Did they originally come with the AGOT dolls? Were they something that you paid extra for? These are the 6 books that you can write similar stories as the Historical girls (Meet Story, A School story, etc.) I've just gotten a set and am curious about them. Also, it seems I've only seen them on ebay a couple of times. Does anyone know how often they come up for sale and an approximate estimate of their value? Thanks in advance for your help! - Meg B.

Don't know anything about their value, but the whole set used to come with each AGOT. I still have mine, mostly filled in from 1995. They're really cute.

You didn't pay extra for them, they were included in the regular price. I have a completely blank set from when I bought GT2 (Singing Bird). I don't know how much they are worth now, but they also came with a writer's guide for getting started on the stories, and character development. I think they were a great idea- it is too bad they don't have the set anymore!

We got our set with the doll, I have only found two of them recently, they also came with a stencil of the alphabet, which I still have.
