A Low Pressure Will Move East Along The Gulf Coast States And Lift Northeast To Cape Hatteras By Thursday Evening. A Wintry Mix Will Spread Into The Carolinas And Southern Virginia Wednesday Night And Thursday... With Mainly All Snow Further North.

The National Weather Service In Blacksburg, VA Has Issued A Winter Storm Watch.
Snow Is Expected To Develop After Midnight Across The Area. The Snow May Be Heavy At Times Thursday Morning. Some Sleet May Mix With The Snow... Especially South Of The Bluefield... New River Valley... Roanoke And Lynchburg Areas. There Is A Potential For 5 Inches Or More Of Accumulation From This Storm.
The Eventual Track... Strength And Speed Of Movement Of The Low Pressure System Will Affect Snowfall Totals.
A Winter Storm Watch Is Issued When Severe Winter Weather Is Possible, But Not Imminent. At The Time, There Is A Potential For Significant Snow And/Or Ice Accumulations. Future Driving And Walking Conditions May Become Hazardous, So It Is Important To Monitor The Latest Forecasts.

Hopefully, it will miss us and my friends and I can still go on my night ski trip tomorrow evening!
I can't wait till it's SPRING!

I don't like ice being on the forecast. I'm not really worried about snow. My friend will probably be driving his enormous tahoe. It's the biggest redneck vehicle I've ever been in.

52 degrees here right now - sun shining - birds singing.
Friday, during the day, it will be in the forties. Everything will melt off.
I'm betting there will be just enough snow at just the right time to get Montgomery Co., Pulaski Co., and Radford cities out of school.

being up here...i find it is the only time in my life i hate to see snow...you dont get out of school for it and it still makes it hard to drive....and it's way too breezy up here anyway so when the temperature is low enough for snow it just makes it worse!!!

i think that they have a HUGE fan set up at the ends of town of christiansburg and blacksburg and just turn em on whenever they feel the people are getting too comfortable
