what kills me most is knowing we had em 4th and 14 and they got a completion after Jenkins pushed offffffff bigger than you know what to get open, THEN they call PI after that. Pure garbage.
We let the ref screw us though. Had we played the way we had all year, one call wouldn't have mattered. Miami was at least 14 points better than OSU, but we played like crap, and it cost us.
I agree, 5 turnovers I think it was killed us. Even with that though, its amazing how many breaks ohio state got. Look at their regular season, look at the breaks from officials, look at 5 turnovers, look at McGahee tearing his ACL, and Gore not being able to play due to a torn acl, not to mention Dorsey gets a concussion, their leading rusher was Craig Krenzel.......it pisses me off just thinking about that BS game.
If I remember this right, Illinois had them on the ropes and let Jenkins beat them. Purdue maybe too? I know at least 2 had them beat.
Oh fellows, get me started on that game and I won't make it to work tomorrow! Every time I hear "Ohio State" or "Buckeyes", "Krenzel", "Clarett", or anything similar, I want to smack somebody! The pic that mega posted a while back proved that the interference call was an out and out blown call. Ahh, but that above pic brings back memories.
Yeah Illinois got hosed on a questionable call too, matter of fact, I think they called offensive pass interference on them in overtime.
But the purdue game was just pathetic. It was 4th and 4, their national title hopes on the line and they threw it deep to Jenkins for about 50 yards and a touchdown. The game is kinda foggy but I dont think Orton got to play the whole game, maybe an injury or something.
I try to take the good with the bad. One thing nobody can deny is Mr Winslow turned over what was in my opinion the greatest performance by a TE in the history of college football, what a beautful game he played.
