Way to fix your shot = Shoot
Practice to perfection.
do very little upper body weight lifting and shoot for atleast an hour a day. work on good follow thru and form.
Keep your [censored] arm straight unlike 80% of the other players in this area. Work on shooting mid range jumpers and perfect that before you ever step out behind the arc.
first i suggest you work on your dunking. it is a much higher percentage shot as opposed to mega's mid-range jumper he suggested.
Yeah that dunking really helped all of those nba guys make shots in the olympics a few years back
Concentrate on the little things in the shot...elbow in, follow through, consistent release point (above the head), shoulders AND feet square to the bucket.
I do a little drill to get my shot back into shape... from straight on, I start close to the bucket--like 3 feet. NO JUMPING. Just concentrate on all the fundamentals...concentrate especially on getting a good arc on your shot, even that close in. You do not move back until you hit nothing but net--no rim, no bank, no nothing. You move back one step at a time, and keep moving back, swishing it everytime before you do, until you cannot make the shots anymore. NO JUMPING whatsoever with this drill, you just want to concentrate on good form in your shot up top--if you get that down, then you can work on the jumpshot later. The top part of your jumpshot is the hardest to perfect, the release, all of that. Note, this drill is also helpful when you don't go from straight on and you get to see all of the angles on the court...go from straight on to the corners, then to the wings, then pick spots in between, but always follow the rules--no jumping, work on form, work on arc, and don't move back until you've swished the shot in front of you.
If you go to shoot by yourself, it's always a good idea to finish up your session, however long it may be with 10 free throws and 10 3pt attempts, just to help you guage your progress and your percentages from each. Try that and see if you don't have motivation to get your shot better and more game-ready.

This is not very good advice you need to do upper body work for the strength and stamina. The stronger your upper body the less effort you have to put into the shot and you will be better suited to take the physical contact that comes with playing inside. The key is to lift then go to the gym and shoot to let your muscles get get stretched and trained to the movements that you are gonna be doing.
Sacrifice a small animal to Bird, god of basketball before you practice. While practicing try to reward every shot you make by chugging a beer. Eventually you will become so good while handicaped with near alcohol poisoning and nausea that you will be amazing when sober...plus Bird always says "blessed are the sick, for they have partied the hardest".
