Phins trade for Culpepper

FOXSports.com has learned the Vikings and Dolphins have agreed on a trade, with Miami sending a second-round pick to the Vikings in exchange for the Pro Bowl quarterback.
The trade is contingent upon Culpepper passing a physical, and takes Miami out of the running for free-agent quarterback Drew Brees who now could be headed to the Saints.
Culpepper was a three-time Pro Bowl selection for Minnesota but played poorly last season before tearing three ligaments in his right knee in a game Oct. 30. He has been at odds with the Vikings over his 10-year, $102 million contract and wants to be traded.
"If a trade does not happen then I am asking the Vikings to terminate my contract as soon as possible," he said in a recent e-mail to media outlets.

meaning Leinart will land in Tennessee
Re: Phins trade for Culpepper
Fall Cutler Fall. All the way to #18.
Re: Phins trade for Culpepper
If Brees goes to NO, then do the Saints still use their pick on a QB? For instance, draft Vince Young to learn their system and back up Brees, ala Phillip Rivers?
Re: Phins trade for Culpepper
no, they are drafting Mario Williams if they get Brees.
Re: Phins trade for Culpepper
I heard they are going to draft the top defensive player.
Re: Phins trade for Culpepper
Where does VY fall to then? Oakland? As far as Dallas? That one signing has some major ramifications on the draft.
Re: Phins trade for Culpepper
its hard to say honestly.
I would say some teams would rethink their decision...like Buffalo, they might as well draft Young because Loseman is a bust, anyone that thinks he isnt is kidding themselves.
