SWVA Metal Fest 2006

SWVA Metal Fest 2006 will be held in Salem, VA at Shooters Bar on Kessler Mill Road.

Doors open at 6, $15 a ticket in advance, $17 at the door. All ages admitted.

Bands include Doom Syndicate, Bullistic, Vital Remains, Solace Requiem, Speak of the Devil, & War Theory.

I figured I'd post this since ex-PV & UVA-Wise offensive lineman Doug Gibson is the lead singer of Bullistic, and I know we've got some friends of his and fans of metal on here that may be interested in going. If not for participating in the basketball tourney in Pound at 9AM the next morning, I'd be there front & center to hear Doug's band.

Doug has his own myspace website, and so does Bullistic. I got that lineup & info from the group's myspace site, but they have an official website called http://www.bullistic.org/

There's plenty of people in the reviews section that compare their sound to such bands as Black Label Society & Brand New Sin.

I went to that site but it wouldn't load for me that, is why I asked. But thanks. I will look them up on myspace and see what is happening.
