You are right. We should be pretty decent this year in basketball. I look for Coach Moore to re-energize our program. GC may be the reigning champ this year in boys and girls but I do not think they will be there this year by what I've heard. Of course you read that the Parks kid is out with a hamstring and that does take a while to get over. And the Hackeney guy, his girlfriend Tessa is from Powell Valley and she said that he has hurt his foot again and will be out for the season in basketball along with Parks. If you ask me, that doesnt give GC much of anything in basketball either. All they have is the little pg who is the qb on the football team this year and the Saleyer kid. Both of those players are ok by what everyone is saying but they are nothing special. I also read on here somewhere that the only senior coming back is out with a knee injury too? So I think it is safe to say that GC will not have any leadership on the court this year. Nothing against that tiny point guard Andersen or that Saleyer kid but neither one of them seem to be the type of kids that would be leaders for a team like GC will have this year. Tell me if I'm wrong but GC has a really quiet team I think. A lot of the guys on the basketball team said that they aren't that tough either. That is weird for a GC team to be called soft in both football or basketball. Its like no one really respects their programs anymore much. It must be a down year for Blue Devil athletics all the way around this year. Even their girls arent good either. Some of the girls out here on our basketball team say that GC lost all of the girls that made their team "hungry". Some of the girls our here at BSG say that they cant wait to play the reigning state champs because in their words, " they are a bunch of prissed up divas that are resting on their victories from last year." Ewwwwww,.... sounds like a catfight in the making to me. I do hate it for the players the most though. I hope things go ok for you and hope that you have much better fan support in the rest of your winter sports than what you have in football this year. Anything is better than what you have to put up with every single Friday... but as players I'm sure that you know that already..... but the best of luck to you always GC. I do not wish any more injury or bad luck on any of you. It seems as though you have had more than any schools fair share this year.
To your fans though, you people need a heart transplant or something. Wake up and realize who you are as fans before your players start looking up at you in the stands and realize that they are nothing more than offspring from about 3000 of Terrell Owens family members.. that being you GC fans. You and Terrell Owens deserve each other. I know you must sit up there each Friday night and ask, "why am I here?" Well, hopefully to support your kids no matter what kind of season they are having. If not, stay home and watch Sanford and Son or something. At least Fred Sanford has a heart.

There are some that probably do try to come on here and pose as being from somewhere they aren't, but based on some of the comments that he/she has made ub their 13 posts up to this point, I'd have to say this particular one actually is from Powell Valley.

The rest have been attacks on Gate City's fans being quiet, their ages, their lack of heart, etc...plus their name..

Sorry not buying it, not really been much 'pro-PV' as its all been 'downing GC'.

Its kind of along the same lines as what Jason was doing..kind of along the lines of the old sending dead flowers to the school before a big game from 'the opponent'.
