for those of you keeping track at home:
first day of school
half of my classes (totalling: 2 gen-ed and 1 major)
this is gonna freakin suck donkeys.
my first class of the day is that stupid speech class. here's an over-view of why i know this class is gonna suck:<UL TYPE=SQUARE>
<LI> we had to fill out 4x6 cards with that personal info on it. you know what i'm talking about. the last few lines were to be filled with two things that she will use to justify our speeches. one of these things is to list our socio-political position. since most of you know my soc/pol position based on GP, you should understand why this particular area irritated me.
<LI> the second irritant on this 4x6 card is to write about what interests us. normally, any human can accomplish this without much flack. BUT NOT ME!!!! what is/are my interests? well, since she brought it up, the only thing i was thinking about was the previous question. so i'm sitting there trying to figure out a tactful way to write (again) my socio-political view without sounding repetitive.

the remaining two classes are not on my shit list as of yet. well, lets be serious, they already are there...its just that my mind is currently focusing on the janis joplin/tree hugger prof i'm gonna hafta shine-on this semester.

that is not only the point, zela, but also what when terribly wrong the past 3 generations.
this isn't GP, but i think i'll continue this conversation.
the whole 'let-be-extra-sensitive-and-earth-friendly' really effected the way we compete, both as a competitor and a judge.
sure. we'd all like easy, sappy, dope-smokers as our teachers. who wouldn't??? but i do not take my learning lightly. and i would think that if i am forced to attend a class i will never use, then they outta be a little more tight-assed.
it would help me.
otherwise, i don't wanna be sitting in that damn desk....

its day two.
i am officially dissatisfied with my semester already.
here's the skinny:
like in the story of my speech class above, i had to attend yet another lame gen-ed class today.
its weird. everytime i step into a gen-ed class, i can actually feel the grip of the hand that is twisting my arm behind my back...
ahem. anyway, one thing i completely DESPISE about starting new classes is this:

what the fuck is that?!?!?!?!?
this process highly irritates me.
you know, from what i have experienced, profs expect you to know how to write a fucking 20 page essay paper but yet they are fucking obligated to read the syllabus to the class!!!!!!!
OH NO! it doesn't stop there. not only to they tend to read it word for word...they also have a nasty habit of explaining every little fucking thing!!!!
i find this fucking RIDICULOUS!!!!!!
first of all, if the prof is reading the syllabus for the numerous political reasons behind it, then the fucking syllabus should be easy to understand.
a few weeks (or months) down the fucking line when i'm looking back over it (which is something i tend to do) i'm not gonna have the fucking prof sitting right on my fucking shoulder to tell me all this shit again!!!!
here's a clue:
MAKE THE FUCKING SYLLABUS EASY(IER) TO READ--AND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD--DO NOT INSULT ME BY READING IT IN CLASS SO THAT IT TAKES UP JUST ENOUGH TIME THAT EVEN IF I GET OUT EARLY, ITS JUST ENOUGH TIME FOR ME NOT TO BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING BUT FIND A FUCKING TREE TO SIT UNDER WHILE I'M WAITING THE NEXT FUCKING 15 MINUTES TO GO TO MY NEXT CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!
