That's what I was thinking, we are talking basketball and not football, which wouldn't be that big of an upset either.
Yeah I think TV will still be pretty tough this year with Baldwin.. They led most of the game against Castlewood from what I heard and didn't lose by much.
I haven't seen Twin Valley play this season but have it on my schedule. The feedback I've had from folks in the BDD is that Twin Valley is no where near the level of team they were last year.
On the other hand, some are predicting St. Paul to come in second place behind Castlewood in the Cumberland.
I guess it is a matter of perspective.

How does anyone 'predicting' indicate anything?
You read entirely too much into predictions and such. TV made it to the last game in Group A last season. St Paul is still St Paul.
Well, NotSoSilentBob, again it is a matter of perspective. In sports, you have pre-season predictions on just about everything. It is not a new concept. Hell, people were "predicting" Twin Valley to win the 2006 Region D championship from the day that Kent Goodman transferred. And, guess who won it?
People have been "predicting" Castlewood to win the Region D championship since the last championship tournament. They may and they may not. But, it is just a prediction. No one is engraving their name of the trophy just yet.
You may think that "St. Paul is still St. Paul," and maybe they aren't supposed to do well this year, but I'd say they've had a very good start to the season this year.

A good start does not a season make. You cannot judge teams on what they have done over the first two weeks of the season. Especially not in this area where some schools have only had full teams for just two weeks.
Predictions are like [censored], everybody has one. But little credence can be given to these predictions.
There is a big difference between the upper level and lower level basketball programs in this area. I would consider TV to be an upper level program because of what they have done over the last 3 years. St Paul, on the other hand, is a lower level program.
I think we all understand that it is very early in the season, and there will be many "upsets" along the way. I personally am looking forward to them. Otherwise, the game would be pretty boring if the outcomes were set in stone.
I know very well the difference between the levels of teams in our area. I watch typically 3-5 games every week, with teams from all three districts.
I disagree with your assessment of Twin Vally and St. Paul. On that note, we simply have to agree to disagree.
