According to data from today's edition of the Coalfield Progress, I believe these are the current rankings for boys basketball in Region D and by district.
Region D ranking is winning percentage of all games played.
Results of last night's games are not included.

i know this list isn't compiled very accurately, but i can't believe no lpd team is in the top 5.

Trying to figure out your logic here:
If Tennessee's football team played Auburn, Florida, LSU & Arkansas and stands with a 3-1 record - while Kentucky's football team has played Bowling Green, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Memphis and has a 4-0 record - in your thinking Kentucky is a higher-ranked team?

No, but with a little thought, some information on teams/players, who they've faced and how they fared, opponents records, etc, etc, and add in a little common sense and you can come up with a ranking - something the Coalfield felt like it really didn't need to do for whatever reason.
