got this from another board so im not sure how true....but the guy said he has his sources.
Dot Com on Fsu board said that he has yet to recieve his release but not to be surprised when he does.He said he is very home sick and Talked alot with Rae Sykes on his visit.Brent Hubbs on rivals.com said he would be released at the end of the semester so he could get a medical hardship and come stright into ut and play.Bowden has suppost to have called fulmer and told him he was getting a All-American and that if a florida boy has trouble he better send him his way.
Where do ya'll get this stuff?/
This is straight from Warchant.com
"I will say that there is scuttlebutt going around that he may decide to transfer after the spring semester, but it's nothing but rumor at this point. Nothing has been done by him or anybody else to indicate that he will transfer. We will continue to keep you updated on this and talk to Brandon about it when possible."
Brandon's cousin posts on the Warchant board frequently, here is his last post:
1. His mother is not ill. She was battling an illness some time ago but she is not so ill to the point that it would cause him to leave.
2. He isn't "unhappy" at FSU. How can he be, everything they told him they would do when they recruited him, happened. They said he could come in and possibly start as a true freshman. They said they would make sure to incorporate him/TE into the offense, it happened.
It all boils down to being homesick IMO. It happens to a lot of freshman athletes. I'll get up with him tonight and just talk to him. I won't try to talk him into/out of anything just offer my support.
One thing I don't understand is why would BB call Fulmer to offer him a player? If the phone call happened more than likley Phil called Bobby to ask him to release Warren.
No matter what happens I with Brandon the best of luck and I will continue to a big a fan of his.
Stright From Brent Hubbs Rivals.com
We have worked the phones today and here is what we know officially.
Warren is still enrolled at FSU and is scheduled to start mat drills (offseason work) on Monday. That is the official word.
What else we have learned in talking to people today, many at FSU will not be surprised if Warren does indeed transfer at some point.
In fact after talking to alot of people, I believe right now that he will come home. But the question is when.
Warren cannot get in school at Tennessee for the spring semester. So there is no benefit academically to leaving right now. Can Warren win a hardship appeal? That remains to be seen. If he can then he could play immediately.
Warren is saying nothing at this point.
We will continue to try and speak with him
Here is a post from "Knoxville Nole"
I can't say one way or the other as to what is going on with BW right now, but I can say that these fanatics up here will stop at nothing to start a rumor and stir up trouble. My advice is that until BW comes forward and says something don't listen to what volquest has to say.
I'm really just looking forward to hearing something official, I don't put much faith into these rumors from either side. I do think that if he had intended to transfer he would have done it after bowl season when most transfers take place, but who knows. I wish him the best in whatever decision he makes.
If Warren did transfer do ya'll think he would start right away?/
Does UT have any TE's of his caliber?
Who give a rat crap if he's a vol...
Brown is just fine...
Warren told teammates on Friday that he was returning home to Alcoa, Tennessee and planned to withdraw from Florida State. Sources within the program also confirmed that the freshman All-American left Tallahassee early Saturday morning with a relative. He told friends that he has no intentions of returning to Florida State.
Warren has requested a release but initial indications are that Florida State will not grant that request. His mother was ill for a time last year but based on all reports has returned to full health.
If he does not return to FSU, Warren will reportedly request a hardship release from the NCAA so he can transfer to Tennessee and play immediately. However, it is extremely unlikely such a request would be granted since, according to sources close to Warren, he is leaving FSU because he is "homesick".
Warren, a former five-star recruit, had arguably the most successful rookie campaign for tight end at Florida State. Last season, the 'Noles' athletic tight end started 12 games, had 28 catches for 301 yards and one touchdown. After the season, he was named to several freshman all-American teams including Sporting News and Rivals.com.
With Warren's departure, and fellow freshman Caz Piurowski moving to offensive tackle, FSU currently has only one tight end on scholarship -- Charlie Graham. This summer, recent signee Jonathan Hannah will join the program and will lineup at tight end. Even with those two players, university sources indicate that another current player will likely be moved to tight end to add depth.
Yeah, it looks like he's gone, but FSU isn't going to give him his release. Meaning that he won't be able to play until the '08 season, and he'll have to pay his own way until then.
Shouldn't be much of a problem though, he'll get financial aid and student loans for an in state student, and he shouldn't have any problem paying back the loans once he's drafted.
