I personally think he will be a Yankee next year as well, but Im glad that he has gotten off to a hot start, even though a 4-4 mark on the season is not what is wanted, I think some tinkering with the pitching staff will help, however what about Dice K getting outshined by the Mariners tonight. Still, I look forward to his first start at the stadium. I hope Godzilla will heal up, the Yanks are just a different team without him.

Im enjoying the start of the 07 season. Lots of quality baseball being played, btw anyone have the MLB package with the games live on the net? Im thinking of getting it.

Dice K did get outshined tonight, but what about the soxs batters? 1 hit. Esp this early in the season. Thas not really a good sign esp since old bloody sock is well past his prime.
Francona apparently feels the sox need to play small ball this year (which i am against-Moneyball) as they have already had more sac bunts this season then they did in the last 50 years.

My Braves are 7-1 and are atop the NL East, Great for me so far. Only 154 more games to go.

The Gmen have been shutout 3 times in 9 games, the starting pitching has given up 3 runs or less in 8 of the 9 games and they still cant win. Bonds cant get a pitch to hit and everyone around him sucks. Matt Cain pitched a 1 hitter the other night and they still lost 1-0.

Ya know, I never understood why they let Damon go, Pedro go, or Millar. As a Yankee fan they put the stake in the heart so many times. I mean, so what if they are a lil older..they were part of the heart of the team. I guess its sorta like Bernie though, you can only hold on to them for so long. Man, I love baseball season.
Mega, kept Schmidt or Zito? What did you think?
I personally think the Twins are a dangerous team, the D-Rays will be a team to reckon with in the future.

I prefer Zito. Schmidt isnt durable at all and thats Zito's #1 attribute. Schmidt is already hurt and he showed a dead arm more than youd think too. Zito for 126 mill is ridiculous but when Ted Lilly is getting close to 50 mill, you can sort of expect to have to pay that price. Pitching isnt an issue although they need a closer. Zito usually has bad aprils. He pitched well the first game, terrible in game 2. The other starters, Cain, Lowry, Morris, and Russ Ortiz have been terrific. I think Ortiz has a chance at comeback player of the year, he looks like his old self. They just arent a very good team at manufacturing runs and they dont have the type of pop in their bats to score alot of runs. Especially in the ballpark they play in. They are built for small ball but they are a terrible small ball team. Benjy Molina was a good pickup but its about time that Feliz, Randy Wynn, Dave Roberts, and Klesko go somewhere else, they stink. Vizquel needs to retire too. He will always be good with the glove but he doesnt hit too well anymore. Hes a slap hitter at best. Im hoping Sabean will finally get the axe and they can get a GM that will build a farm club. The Giants dont have the funds to spend on free agents like the Yanks do.

I disagree yeah if Pujols stays healthy he is the NL MVP by far. But Vladdy is still waiting for a "Big" year by his standards in Caly (I dont remember but has he hit 50 since comin to the AL, has he ever). Yeah he is gonna hit 40 + Bombs, hit around 330 and drive in 120, but I just think Papi and Arod have an edge over him. Maybe its just because he plays in a much weaker division or maybe its because he has yet to learn the strike zone or to speak English. Dont get me wrong, i said 3 years ago if Vladdy would take more walks he could fight for .400, then again i've never seen a guy besides him hit a baseball 450 feet when it is 6 inches off the ground. Besides Carlos Beltran I think he is as close to a 5 tool outfielder the AL has seen since Griffey when he was w/Seattle.

Your gonna honestly give the cy young to a guy who is 21 years old and pitched 2 games? Alot of baseball left, and I just don't see Seatle giving him the run support he is gonna need to win 20 games. You give Santana 3 runs every game, and he wins 25 this year.

As much as I like Smoltz, who will more than likely be joining Greg and Tom in Cooperstown in a few years I dont know if he can win 20+ this year. Esp with the pressure he is gonna have now that Hampton is done for the year.

felix has more talent than just about anyone, he was supposed to do this last year.

smoltz has some help, esp if hudson can have a bounceback year, little short at the end of the rotation, but he has a little slack, and the ATL bullpen is extremely improved from last year.

i think chipper will stay as long as he can, but andruws prolly gone after this year, braves wont pay market value.
