1 Week Down
1 week of practice is in the bank. any surprises at any of the camps?
Here are a few of the things that I have heard if anyone wants to fill in any extra info please do
Appy - smaller than last season in size but with possible a bit more speed this COULD be a rebuilding year in that many 9th and 10 graders will be seeing alot of PT
Burton - Much like last year with a ton of speed and several of there small fast kids have bulked up in the off season without losing speed The O-line will still be a question mark until they are tested by someone not wearing orange and black but so far have not been seen as a weak point
Clintwood - Bigger than last year in both size and numbers with experienced kids back at almost every position Time will tell if Clintwood starts this season like they started last year of how they finished last year
Pound - Disappointing numbers and defection of several key players have started this year off on a bad note for the wild cats the kids that are in camp have been working hard but it will most likely take more than 1 season to dig out of this hole
PV - There off-season problem look to have either been over blown or behind them IMHO PV returns the best talent at the Skill positions in the LPD Line worries have not played out in practice. There are mixed reports on if PV will be 100% spread this year again or if the "I" will be used more than in the last several years
Wise - Has more talent at the skill positions than they have had since Sanders was coaching. from what I am hearing look for Wise to throw the ball more than last year and a return of the Wing T

Re: 1 Week Down
For the first time since his arrival, B.I. actually has some depth. He isn't having to throw somebody in a spot because he has nobody else. We actually have some competition for spots, and we all know that's a good thing. Our backfield with Dotson, Sproles, Strouth (not to mention Gilliam-Coeburnfolk remember his 239 yrd effort last year, as well as Chris Dotson-who can flat out get there)is going to be as solid as any around. The key for JJK is how quickly some of those freshmen that I have been waiting on, Matney, Weston Mullins,Nicely, and MacArthur develop. I have seen these kids grow up and I know they will be solid in the years to come. I'm not going to get on here and run my trap, saying that we're going 10-0. IMO JIB, PV, and Clintwood are gonna take a huge effort to beat, but saying that we'll go 6-4,7-3? I'd go as far to say that. Time will tell. BTW Counts Davis isn't playing for the Wave this year (has too much motocross stuff going on)

Re: 1 Week Down
I heard that one of Powell Valley's starters moved to Harlan Ky. Does anyone know anything about that? Looks like he may play for them in 3-4 weeks.

Re: 1 Week Down
i heard that one of nortons linemen tyler hartsock is out six weks because of surgery. He was suppose to start this year as a freshman.I was hoping he would get some experience before we played pv.If he is ready for pv i would wait the next week to play him its hard to play your first game against a team like the vikings are suppose to have this year.
