Any truth to returning Appy players, be they ones who quit or ones who are hurt?
If so, it definitely changes the complexion of the game

After being reminded of what went on during the Burton game at halftime and seeing the way they came out and played at the Clintwood game, who would even want to play on that "team?"
Surely someone can see where I'm coming from here. I hope I'm not alone when I say that calling it a "team" is even a bit of a stretch.
Surely Austin wouldn't allow players to quit and later return.
lol, it happens all the time with every team and don't even try to say it doesn't
It doesn't.
Very rarely if ever. If a kid quits for family reasons, school, or something legit it's one thing, just quitting because you're a quitter is something else.

So you're telling me Tom Turner would have allowed someone to quit, then return to the team once they made the playoffs?
RIP Appy. The Appy of old will never be back, no talent in the next seven or eight years.Boys and girls basketball teams picked last in the LPD and the baseball program is always a joke. The people of Appy had better go to the school board and beg to consolidate before they go 2 and 8 next year. Roger Austin has let the politics of Appalachia creep in to the football program listning to parents and letting daddys ball take over.
I agree with you completely abc.
Next year, the Dawgs are going to be in some deep trouble I'm afraid.
I know it's not right to talk about these things way before they happen, but no need to deny the inevitable. Just look at how many key players Appy will be losing due to graduation, and look at how few will be returning (if any).
That's really all there is to say. I smell another 1-9 or 2-8 season for the Dawgs, unfortunately. It'll be like 2003 all over again.
Appy only lost 2 or 3 good ball players from last years team and they are a lot worse this year than last??????
