Meyer on his seniors
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Well, for those guys who just put in their time and didn't make any real contributions, it's time for you to go. It won't be hard to say goodbye to some of those guys who just went through the motions. Now for those kids who actually bought into the program, and who made some sacrifices and contributions -- you know, like Bubba Caldwell....he's a graduate of UF and had a great career -- you'll really miss those guys. But just because you're a senior doesn't mean you have any value. </div></div>

That's pretty tuff stuff, but u have to get rid of the steak eaters
-
Re: Meyer on his seniors
I don't think it's the steak eaters. It's kids that were recruited to run an offense that he doesn't run. Of course they're not going to fit in and are going to struggle. Meyer has shown he's a good coach, but he's a p.o.s. human being.

Re: Meyer on his seniors
well, i think its fair, you get a chance to play for a college team and don't take total advantage of it and just chill threw your chance, i don't blame him for not respecting those guys. It sounds harsh for him to say it, but its the truth

Re: Meyer on his seniors
If you have a kid who can't run the spread, how's it his fault that he was there 2-3 years before the coach who came in and put in a system that you can't run and aren't made for? Being down on a guy who's sorrier that [censored] and won't do anything is one thing, being Urban Meyer is something else.

Re: Meyer on his seniors
I didn't say anything about the guys that don't fit in or get all the playing time, you can still earn your place. They're players who don't play 100% of the time or any, around the country that contribute to their team somehow.

Re: Meyer on his seniors
When you have chance to play for a top program like Florida you should take advantage, but I think there are alot players just riding the coat tails of Harvin and Tebow. I don't agree with the way he said it, it was kind of cold hearted but the truth

Re: Meyer on his seniors
Exactly, the majority of the guys that he didn't recruit though, he's [censored] on. It doesn't matter what they've done to help. Chris Leak, Keystahn Moore, and Deshawn Wynn are a few that come to mind. I'm sure they wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire. These were decent players and leaders and from everything I've heard good leaders until he came there.

I'm sure he didn't think Chris Leak was a scrub
