Bravo Fat Phil

Lets all give Fat Phil Fulmer a round of applause for his monster recruiting class yesterday. #36 per Rivals. Thats the commitment to win right there. Watch Out SEC!

It was a filler class, granted we missed out on a couple of good pickups but they were in positions we are already loaded at. The only position we didn't get exactly what I was hoping was DT. Montori Hughes will develop into a good one I believe. Don't let the #36 distract you too bad, it is just a number and doesn't mean diddly squat.

We only signed 18 I believe so the number will be lower because of that. I loved a few pickups we had yesterday, one being EJ Abrams-Ward (WR) - 6'5", 210 lbs, I feel he is going to be something special.

But again, where you are ranked in recruiting doesn't mean a hill of beans. As lpd_blue said in another thread, FSU was a top 5 class for five or six years and came away with nothing to show for it and in that span lost more games than they did in years before so don't hold too much weight on the class #.

Well Phil is someone i dont know and will never talk to ever. Facts are facts A). Hes overweight B) This years class sucked per the experts.

Calling me a douche ( A personal opinion) just because i believe Phil dropped the ball on this years recruiting is class.

I was down Knocksville today and me and Phil did a little see-sawing after we ate lunch at the Jumbo Buffet. I asked ole Phil why he didn't sign some more boys, or at least some biguns? He told me that the less boys that was a eaten in the cafeteria, the more they was fer him. That is why they pay that boy the big bucks........he is a smartun!

And UT might not have had one of their better classes. A lot of that was due to the delay on an Offensive Coordinator for one thing. And, I've seen you UT have great classes the last few years and those great ranked classes turn into a bunch of thugs and members of America's Most Wanted. Maybe a lower class will have a few less idiots and a few more character people. Last I looked, the recruiting services don't care if you're donating blood or taking it [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

One thing for sure, EJ is a special player and he is coming form a football factory (Thomasville, NC). That young man is very respectful, polite, and knows the game. He will help UT bigtime!!! Check out the link to his signing...
