Tom Crean headed to Indiana....

per ESPN, Marquette Coach Tom Crean is headed to the University of Indiana as next BBall coach, IMO that is a great hire.

Could turn out to be the best thing for IU.

Thats a better hire for them than I was really expecting. I wonder who will end up at Marquette now.

Chris Lowery? I'm not sure if he'd leave SIU for the job, but i'm sure he'll be contacted

also, the Western Ky coach has been announced as the new head coach at South Carolina, so hopefully i'll get to meet him this summer

I think this season may have hurt Lowery's stock just because they had a down year. Nature of the mid major beast though. Especially if you don't coach a flashy style.

the last two head coaches of SIU have done pretty well for themselves

Marquette signed a pretty solid class...i wonder if it will stay that way...namely, Tyshawn Taylor

I agree that he has proven he deserves a major position. Great defensive coach.

SIU got a kid who is in the top 30 nationally, so it'll be interesting to see what Lowery can do with some talent if he doesn't get hired somewhere in the summer

Dakich cut two of Indiana's guards, Eric Gordon is gone as well...it may be a long year in Bloomington next year

I heard that Crawford has thought about transferring to UK as well, where his brother just finished up. Ironic as Joe his brother almost transfered out of UK.

thats a great pickup for IU provided that they dont get hammered by the NCAA

if they do it probably wont matter much
