35 cent gas
From the W-S Journal
WILMINGTON
Traffic was backed up and police were called to control the crowd after a Wilmington gas station accidentally set the pump price at 35 cents a gallon.
Hundreds of drivers flooded a BP station for the cheap gas after the price dropped around 9 a.m. Thursday, The Wilmington Star-News reported yesterday.
Station employee Shane Weller said that the price for premium gasoline was supposed to be $3.35 a gallon. He complained that customers paid the cheaper price all day without saying a word.
It was all the extra traffic that led station employees to the mistake about 6 p.m.
They found it after calling their district manager, looking for permission to change the price as a way of stemming the flow of customers.

Re: 35 cent gas
sounds like management is just as stupid as it's employees.
You know somebody had to snap a picture of the price on the pump with their phone/cam. And most ppl should have gotten a receipt (I would have just fo the novelty). Then a company CHANGES the charge amount? I smell law-suuuuuuuits (as Tootie would say).
Hundreds of drivers flooded a BP station ??? Come on, ppl, that's a sign of suspicious activity if their ever was one!
And hundreds of ppl. just getting $5-10 worth??? Oh, wait, that's not so unusual now.
(you know, when I opened this thread, I was expecting to see a can of pork & beans)
