Tony is his own person and doesn't strike me as a "yes man" driver. He is going to do what he wants to do. I don't care if he drives a Pinto with three wheels, I'm still pulling for him and he would finish ahead of Juan Pablo Montoya, LOL.
It would be an extremely stupid move for Tony to leave JGR who has some of the best equipment and a lot of money from Toyota to go drive for a middle of the pack team in Haas-cnc. Please stay at JGR, for Nascars sake.
He'll be offered 50% ownership of that team, and will get to drive Chevy's again, which is what he wants. And it doesn't hurt that those Chevy's are Hendrick Chevy's.
Their Hendrick equipment, but thats not the same as Hendrick Chevy's. They don't get that same TLC (tender loving cheating) after they enter the HAAS shops that they do if they stay in HoMoS.
I swear, if I had a damn dollar for everytime that someone bitched about Hendrick's teams, I'd be a rich man. If anyone has a winning team, they're always cheaters.
It's not like people are just making this stuff up. Look at how many times have they been caught? Knaus has been busted on many occasions.
Everyone in Nascar, I'm sure cheats. Just not everyone gets caught, it's always been common since Dale Sr. was racing, he was always accused of cheating. Seems to me, the only cheating that's going on, seems only to be caught there.
Johnson and the 48 team has really been the only one constantly out of line at Hendrick...The rest of Hendrick is pretty legit, compaired to the rest of the field...I have a close friend who spent 2 years driving a Busch (now Nationwide) car, and he told me if you think one single car on the track is legal, you are kidding yourself...
As for Stewart, if he chooses to leave, he will crumble, just like every other decent driver that has ever atempted this kind of move...This isn't the day of Junior Johnson anymore, owning your own team, or part of it and having driving duty, is a chore to large to handle nowdays...Stewart is an "Oh look at me" kind of guy, he is starving for attention at all times, and thinks this would make him look like a genious if it works...The only part I could see his side on is the Toyota thing, but hey it's not like he is chevy through and through, a ton of his wins were not in a chevy either, they were in a Pontiac, along with Labonte's Championship at Gibbs, leaning me to say the worst thing JGR ever did was move to chevy, followed by the next worse thing which was move to Toyota...
