Confirmed as a final on VA Preps. JJK will now travel to Glenvar while Honaker will host James River. Congratulations to Honaker and JJK both, and good luck next week.

are you kidding me? where in the heck did honaker come from to win the region?

Honaker has a record of 21-3, or something like that, and were a # 1 seed with some good non-district wins under their belt as well. They have a pretty good pitching staff, tough outs 1-9 in the line-up, and a first-class coaching staff. While coming out of the BDD, year in and out they have good ball clubs. I believe everyone would agree that with wins over Burton, GC, and JJK their road to the championship was a tough one.

no doubt about it. it's the fact that they come in to the region tourney every year with an inflated record from playing in the black diamond. it appears that this is one of their best teams in coach hardings 38 years. congrats to coach harding. if i'm not mistaken (and i often am) this is honaker's first region d title in baseball.

It is Coach Harding's first and according to tricities.com it came on his birthday. Coach Harding is a class act and deserves the accolades. You will notice that he praises his players and gives them all the credit. He is truly in coaching for the love of the game and the kids!! Not all coaches can say that!
