Why so long? Kimbo has what 2 or 3 fights under his belt? Dude is gonna be 40 by the time he has 10. August would be a much better time frame IMO.

Five months isn't that long in the MMA world. If you look at most of the top fighters, their fights tend to be about 3-4+ months apart.

August would be a better time frame for more fights in a shorter amount of time, but I think having until October will be necessary for him to become prepared for Rogers. He's going to have one tough fight this October, that's for sure.

I dont think I would compare kimbo to a top fighter.

Not saying he's a top fighter, but you would expect top fighters to fight as often as possible to stay on top and gain experience, so that's why I used them as examples (although fighting often isn't always the case for them).
