Miami Dolphins
I just wanted to rant and rave for a minute about Sundays game. Once again the Dolphins had a very good shot at winning and couldnt pull it off. I know Im gon get some slack for this bc I downed CoeburnCanes for his woulda/shoulda/coulda in the Gators and Canes game but my god I think Id rather see the Dolphins get blown away then keep on losing these close games. Last year, we lost "6" games by 3 points, SIX FRICKIN games by a field goal. The final score Sunday was Jets 20 Dolphins 14. Now, heres the thing....4th and 13, Favre drops back to pass, comes a hair from getting sacked throws up a prayer that seems like it took 5 mins to come down from the sky and wouldnt ya know it, right into the hands of Jerrico Cotchery for a touchdown. For one, somebody should have batted that pass down, never should have been caught. Two, Mike Nugent(the J-E-T-S kicker) was hurt, thats the only reason they didnt attempt the 39 yard field goal. Had he not been hurt, they would have took the 3 points instead of getting the lucky ass touchdown which would have been a difference of 4 points. Okay, so you take 4 points off the Jets score and it makes Jets 16 Dolphins 14. Miami had the ball at the Jets 18 with 13 seconds left when Pennington got intercepted in the endzone by Reevis, BUT had Nugent not been hurt the Jets would have taken the fieldgoal and Miami would have only been down 2 points so they would have kicked a field goal, the game winning field goal that is instead of having to throw into the endzone so all in all Miami "should" have won that game 17-16, which really rubs me the wrong way bc it looks like lady luck is not on our side again this year.

Re: Miami Dolphins
I wish that score would have been Jerrico Cotchery, he is on my fantasy team, however, it was Chansey Stuckey who caught the 5 minute floater. Wish you were right though.

Re: Miami Dolphins
You are exactly right, my bad guess I just got tore all to hell thinking about it and my mind wasn't working right.

Re: Miami Dolphins
I really thought Pennington was going to get his revenge on the Jets with a last minute TD drive but they fell just short.

Re: Miami Dolphins
Just fell short seems to be the story of the Miami Dolphins

Re: Miami Dolphins
I'm not gonna dog ya...I'm just going to say that I know you're more passionate about the Dolphins than the Gators, at least you have been ever since I've known you--so now you know where I was coming from yesterday.
Plus, I'm in the same boat pro-team-wise. San Fran had plenty of opportunities to do good things against the Cardinals on Sunday, started off great w/Gore running the ball--but turned the ball over and made stupid mistakes that put them out of position to win. Lady luck hasn't been with us either--we spend a 1st round pick a few years ago on Alex Smith and now he's likely headed for a 2nd shoulder surgery in two years which ends his run with the 49ers and likely in the NFL...so that's a wasted #1 overall pick. Good players on that team too that haven't been utilized as they should be...not up to the caliber of where the 49ers are used to being.

Re: Miami Dolphins
Yeah theres no doubt Im more passionate about the Dolphins. I mean, dont get me wrong, I love the Gators but the Dolphins are my favorite sports team out of all sports. The Dolphins come first to me, right up there with everything thats important to me in life. Goes like this ...Dolphins, Gators, Tarheels, Dodgers, Lakers ....

Re: Miami Dolphins
The tarheels being #3 is blasphemy.
