fatass will be back in south bend next year
Heard Mike and Mike say this morning that if he wasn't, they would pursue Urban Meyer heavily. Probably a reason why they are bringin him back, Meyer isn't going anywhere.
If Meyer wins another championship this year I could see him wanting to move on. He is of the Saban and Rodriguez breed.
I was a huge Weis fan in the begining but it is blatantly obvious that he is not a college coach. They have consistently had great recruiting classes but nothing to show for it.
I agree. One more title and he has proved what he wanted to at UofF and heads to ND, where his heart lies.
I wish BWC would give the damn article or something when he makes threads like this
ND should have a fairly good team next year and should be in a bowl game...they win he gets another year to win a NC or a BCS bowl game.
With the defeats and the rumors piling up, Notre Dame may be ready to stop the Charlie Weis speculation.
Multiple media outlets reported on Tuesday that the embattled coach will return for another year and that an announcement could come in the next 24 hours.
Both Scout.com and the NBC affiliate in South Bend, Ind., WNDU, cite sources that say Weis will be back for 2009. The school, however, would not confirm or deny the reports.
The Chicago Sun-Times contacted the school, but Brian Hardin, the sports information director for football, said that he was not aware of any announcement. According to the newspaper, Notre Dame athletics director Jack Swarbrick was not available for comment, and Weis was on a recruiting trip to Hawaii and California.
After Saturday's 38-3 defeat at the hands of rival Southern California, Weis has a 28-21 record in four seasons at Notre Dame. His .571 winning percentage falls short of the .583 of predecessors Bob Davie and Tyrone Willingham.
Weis has seven years left on the 10-year contract he signed midway through his first season as the Irish coach.

That's a shame right there. I loved Bob Davie and Ty Willingham at ND.
Those 3 Super Bowl rings are the only things keeping Weis there.
Fat coaches don't win. Plain and simple.

Jimmie Johnson and Mike Holmgran are pretty chubby as well as the Big Tuna.
Jimmy Johnson wasn't what i woudl call fat though. And Parcells hasn't won big since he gained alot of that weight, although he was big with NYG.
There are exceptions to every rule. Hell Fulmer got one. But by and large, fat coaches don't win.
