I may be wrong, but I think most local coaches have gone away from two-a-days.
It probably is pretty dangerous in some areas with the heat, kids have died from it like the article said.
I have practiced in both types of workouts. Didn't mind either. My first two years our coach done a very early morning workout with a lunch break and an afternoon practice. The mornings were nice and cool, but after lunch was generally rough. With a coaching change my junior year our workouts changed to evenings only. Started at 4 and went till 9 or 10 generally. Not a huge difference either way.
if coaches run the practices right, theres no reason to get rid of two-a-days.
if players are properly hydrated and watched over, i see no reason to make them stop.
im a fat ass, but i went thru two-a-days and didnt die.
so if i can do it, anyone can lol
