Rondo and Allen to the Pistons??
The Celtics, according to Yahoo! Sports, offered Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to the Pistons for a package that included Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Rodney Stuckey, league sources said on Monday.
Allen and Rondo have been in the middle of many trade rumors this summer and where there's smoke, you have to think there's fire. However, it is hard to imagine the C's giving up on Rondo after he helped them win a championship a year ago. Allen, on the other hand, seems to be at the top of the Celtics' list of players they hope to move.
Re: Rondo and Allen to the Pistons??
this is just a rumor...espn apparently has said this is a no go, but the celts are looking to deal rondo from what ive heard
Re: Rondo and Allen to the Pistons??
they want the wizards pick i think, so dont be surprised if you dont start hearing some talk bout the wiz and the celts
spurs made a big trade today, bringing in richard jefferson for bruce bowen, oberto, and kurt thomas.
Re: Rondo and Allen to the Pistons??
What do you think of the Spurs trade Biggun? Im not sure its a positive one.
Re: Rondo and Allen to the Pistons??
That would have been a steal for Boston if it had went down. Allen isn't getting any younger and Rondo is nothing special, he's really not that good. IMO That would probably send them straight to the Finals next year, a stacked team.
As much as I hate Bowen and Oberto, they're good role players that helped them out a lot. I don't know if that was the best trade for the Spurs, hopefully not :)
Haven't heard anymore on Shaq/Cleveland talks, wondering what's going to happen with that.
Re: Rondo and Allen to the Pistons??
ive got a hunch that milwaluke will cut bowen, therefore making him available.
but with the rash of injuries, i can see having another big scorer to take over if something happens again.
imagine this starting five;
tony parker
ginobli
richard jefferson
fill in the blank here, could be many diff. people
tim duncan
i like it, ginobli is cheap at this point, TD is getting cheaper by the year; so they can keep him at least two years
