On the subject of the video lets break down the numbers behind the 45 million uninsured. 9 million of those are illegal immigrants and shouldn't be counted at all, so now were down to 36 million. 17 million make more than $50,000/year of those 9 million make over $75,000 and can afford insurance but choose not to buy it down to 19 million. 11 million are eleigible for the government programs that allready exist but just won't sign up for them, now were down to 8 million uninsured. Also don't forget everytime someone talks about the 45 million they say uninsured/underinsured so there are people with insurance in that figure. What exactly constitutes underinsured, is it someone like my insurance that covers everything except dental and vision. Even with a dental plan it doesn't cover anything. A direct quote from my dentist when I asked him about dental insurance he said not to bother with any of them that they don't cover anything that you would need it for anyway, he had the exact same policy I did for himslef.

9 million aren't "illegal", immigrants both legal and illegal...maybe half that. 13.5 million make less than 25k and 14.5 million make 25-50k. Have 8.1 million kids that don't have anything - which some I would say could qualify for programs - under the new plan, every child is required to have health insurance? What about ones with pre-existing conditions that can afford it, but don't qualify? - which is part of the new reform. And no I don't hear "underinsured" being brought up in this discussion and doesn't fall into the original number, actually never heard it used in the discussion myself - even if it was, I'm guessing they'd be talking about not being covered the full year...nothing to do with the scenario you brought up. Not as cut and dry as you're making it out to be.There are some exemptions that would lower the number, but nowheres near your 8 mil( minus these underinsured people that are constantly brought up, even though it's not)
