WOOOOHOOOOO BABY..... It is back, now what do you want to talk about?
It'll take a while for this thing to pick up with the limited # of folks with access...the board just seems to be gettin into full swing on the whole..and it's been a while. Don't wanna talk about Oakland at this point tho..lost Scheillens and Morrison in the span of a week...both prolly out a month each.
Yes please no Oakland crap........ still awaiting Al Davis to "sell out".....
I agree it will be slow for a while but glad it is back up and running. The main forum has finally picked up over the last couple of weeks. I knew football would bring everybody back out in full swing but it just felt like we had more people post in the "off season" but that could be because of the transition between sights and so forth.
Just glad football is getting back in full swing.
The stuff Thurs. perked it up a bit...and the last thing I'll say bout Oak...looks like they finally have a foundation..now if they can stop the run they may make some noise..if not they'll win 4-5 again. I really think gettin Kiffin outta there was the right move tho.
How many Vols fans do you think wish he would have stayed in Oakland though?
Not ME, I have to say I have agreed with 90% of what he has done so far, I like his swagger, his ability to hire a phenomenal staff and their ability to recruit. Now with that said, he hasn't coached a game so we will see. I will reserve my judgement until after his 2nd or 3rd season because until he gets his recruits in there you never know.
He may just one of those guys who is a great assistant coach and that is it but we will see in a couple of years. He is still young and brash so we will see.
I haven't kept up with what he has done, but have heard the reports of minor violations and somehow ticking off Urban Meyer and other SEC coaches before the first game is even played. I just wonder how most Vols fans feel about him.
I really think Al Davis's hiring of him was a shot in the dark hoping to get another Gruden... As for Kiffin at UT, I like it lots....I'm an Auburn fan.
The funny thing about the secondary violations is that they are very common and most universities turn in several per year from all athletics. I think Ohio State turned in 28 last year. A few more examples would be South Carolina getting 14 this year and Georgia's football team turning in the same amount as UT this year. But none of those were reported on ESPN so nobody really knows about them unless they really paying attention to them.
And it is funny because all of these were turned in after UT's and I never seen once where they made national media.
Another situation would be all the arrest taking place in Gainesville, UF is getting players arrested left and right but no one ever hears a peep on those situations.
It would be nice if the media scrutinized each University equally but lets face it, it is the media and when have they ever done anything that made sense.
