Tim Tebow..

I've never really liked Tebow or anything like that...and listening to all the folks at ESPN worship him and never shut up about him has always gotten on my nerves. But, he is a winner. I think it'd be hilarious if he ended up in Oakland...a team ESPN hates, and a team with an image exactly opposite that of Tebow's. I've said for 2-3 years that I never thought he'd amount to much of a QB in the NFL...but for some reason I'm second guessing that now. Maybe it's the emergence of the Wildcat as a legit offense, I don't know...but I do think he's going to be better than many of us once thought. Still, I'd like to see how the Tebow worshipers at ESPN reacted if he got drafted by the Raiders. His first year there would be something akin to Kyle's journey in the movie "Road Trip"..lol

That would be pretty funny and I agree with you on Tebow, I think he will do right well in the NFL. The Wildcat is perfectly suited for him because he can run or throw. With that being said, if he was utilized primarily for the Wildcat then his NFL career would be somewhat short because he would take quite a pounding. Maybe 5-6 years. But I most definitely agree with ya.

The thing is his cost will outweigh the risk. I think with his size, he can withstand quite a bit of punishment as well. He's pretty dang tough. And, everyone knows Al likes to collect Heisman Trophy winners....I wouldn't be surprised to see Al overreach and draft him in the 2nd round. I know that's high, but it's also likely. IMO, this year will tell the tale on Russell and Gradkowski isn't a long term solution. Tebow might very well be a chance the Silver and Black are willing to take.

If Vince Young can win in the NFL with both mental problems and that terrible throwing motion then Tebow can. His lockerroom presence will be a great addition to any team too. He knows how to win, plain and simple.

He will sell alot of tickets and jerseys. He's probably the most celebrated college fb player in history.
