I was sad to hear about this:
Revised Reprint Policy : Daily MTG : Magic: The Gathering
I liked the premium versions of old cards. This is a lame move.

Really?! That sucks lots.
Suppose you are a card collector. If you can prove that you purchased cards and collected them because of the Reserve List, and would not have otherwise, then you might have a case if they pitched the Reserve List an started printing cards you had saved. If you speculated in these cards hoping that someday they would rise in significant value, and are finally seeing that investment work with the popularity of Legacy, you might be upset if WoTC started reprinting them, after they said they wouldn;t You would have grounds to sue, and if you could prove it, you'd win.
Damn, I was wondering what the lawsuit would be about.
=(
They haven't pitched it though. It's only premium reprints and in low numbers that shouldn't really have much of an effect on the originals.
Then again, we do live in the most sue happy country in the world....
I think Evan Erwin has a valid point in his latest video, found here.
The new duels are pretty cheap and I'm buying some now. You can get a lot of them for under 10, and I suspect that people will turn to them soon because no new duels are on teh horizon.
Lawsuit or no, this was pretty sad. Also, this means that legacy is just going to get more and more expensive. Duals are 30-80 bucks now... next year 60-200? I wouldn't be surprised. To me, this comes down to a hit to those who enjoy the eternal formats.
Oh, and fuck speculators, they ruined the economy, caused oil prices to sky rocket, and now are hurting magic.
