Would really love to have a pair of the passive three way crossovers from the 9861's, 1200hz & 8000hz.
Seems 1200hz is a little steep for 411-8A's.
These are pretty interesting to me too for selfish reasons. I want to know what 288B's are going for these days....:D

These were one of the things the Japanese market wanted. The 902-8A with 811B would be much better replaced with a large format driver (say, a 288 w/511E),IMHO, if it would fit. The cabinet is probably not deep enough without cutting the backboard for the driver (sans early 846's w/ 804/806 & 811). A 500 or 800hz crossover seems fitting for the 411 in the 9861, as in the 873A Barcelona. Maybe the horn load yielded some civilization for 1200hz.Quote:
