Yeah, based on an inflation adjusted price of ~$1020/pr. new, it's a bit much, so I guess it boils down to how much you want OEM and/or how much it would cost to have a cabinet shop make a new set.

You can have any kind of decal made.I bought VOT labels from a guy on eBay who said he could have as many as you wanted made up all he needed was 2 weeks notice. And I know they didn't come from Altec but they look like the originals in every way same dims. 8" x 15" ;)

True, but.......... Many years ago, I had a ~local decal maker print up some VOTT decals from an unmounted OEM one and while they looked OK at a glance, they definitely weren't as 'sharp' plus they were pretty expensive in small quantities, so I was going to try silk screening them, but my 'T'shirt printing buddy fell off a ladder while changing some lighting, forcing him to retire before it was done. Doing a good Altec decal should not be hard. It's flat art. But most printers are lazy. I've done stuff from old art that was "better than new." And I'm semi-lazy myself.
